Scheme: Spanish Revival architecture is the focus of this new home. Its distinct features were used create a distinct classic look. Inclusion of traditional shapes and surfaces are important including curves, arches, mottled stucco exterior and terracotta roof tiles that give the home a warm, earthy, rustic look. A tower where the stairs are located is important to express the Spanish Revival architecture. Also, the balcony with its wrought iron railing is important to the design to step out and experience the fresh air and view as is consistent with the style. The courtyard and arcades were important to the design to enjoy the outdoors where the Mediterranean climate encourages outdoor living.
