Alexander Avenue

Scheme:  Spanish Revival architecture was the focus of the extensive additions and remodeling of this small Spanish Style home. The uses of both contemporary and classical features were added to create a distinctive, yet modern look. Inclusion of traditional shapes and surfaces were incorporated, including curves, arches, mottled stucco exterior, and terracotta roof tiles, giving the home a warm, earthy, and timeless look. Carrying forward the Spanish Revival style, the stairs are located in a tower expressed in the exterior facade as well as a second tower where the Master Sitting Room is located at the second level. Balconies, with their wrought iron railings are important to the design, and provide the fresh air and views consistent with the style. Large windows, French doors, and patios open up to the backyard, allowing privacy and enjoyment of the extensive landscaping and in ground swimming pool.
