Learning Center Renovation

At Wagstaff + Rogers Architects, as education facility architects in the Bay Area we were proud to partner with Star Academy,  a respected Bay Area non-public, non-profit school serving students from grade 3 through post-high school.

Our scope for this project centers on reimagining and upgrading the specialized school’s interior spaces to support a safe, welcoming, and flexible learning environment tailored to students with learning differences.

Our work included:

• Renovated common areas and hallways to enhance circulation, accessibility, and community feel.
• Redesigned classrooms and meeting rooms to support small group instruction and personalized learning.
• Upgraded lighting, finishes, and acoustics to create a calm, focus-friendly environment.
• Refreshed entry and lounge areas to reflect a supportive culture that gives students and families a sense of belonging.

This renovation supports Star Academy’s mission of providing individualized programs that help students build confidence, academic skills, and social/emotional growth.

As education facility architects, through thoughtful design and attention to detail was the aim was to create spaces where every student regardless of learning differences can feel safe, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential.
