Scheme: This house was designed and built for a family. It was the first house in San Anselmo to be Build It Green GreenPoints Rated after the Green Building Ordinance came into effect. The project ultimately attained 117 Points from Build It Green. Diverted 50% (by weight) of all Construction and Demolition Waste.
The house that existed on the property was Deconstructed. Deconstruction is an environmentally-friendly alternative to demolition where the intention is to salvage as many of the reusable materials as possible, diverting them from local landfills and dumps.
